dun tink just use!

ok actually it depends on how old it is. and you mentioned cupboard. so it wasnt stored properly, unless your dad's cupboard is like below 20 degrees hehe!

i tink maybe, maybe hor, u need to over expose for a very expired roll of film, but really there isnt a definitive guide as far as i know.

*personally if its a cheap roll of film i wouldnt bother cos it doesnt cost much to buy a fresh roll anyway, and if nothing comes out its a waste of money, plus you may have been shooting something that u really want. but if its slides i will just whack, simply cos the slides more expensive and worth the risk to process it. still this is my opinion nia.

as for pushing film, try this short article:

i would have to say over exposing is pulling, however thats only the first part of the equation. after that you still need to have the film processed. not so sure myself but for example:

Pushing film (easier for me to explain)
-original film speed is 200
- u expose the film at 400
thats pushing one stop
but i believe to complete the process u need to have the film developed at the labs and u need to let the lab know to develop at 400
- if u develop the film as per normal then all u end up with are underexposed film.
-pulling would be the opposite.

Lets see if any of the shifu in the forum can correct me or elaborate further.

actually pushing and pulling refers more to the processing than just over or underexposure of the film

as far as i know even if you tell the lab most labs here doesn't do pushing or pulling of film other than fotohub..
you can still shoot it as 200 and develop the roll normally.. you pictures may look slightly overexpose thats all..
